    • History of Ellacombe Project

    Over the last few months, we have been working hard on our History of Ellacombe project.  We are thrilled to have Historic England's support to explore Ellacombe’s heritage, including the history of the school and the wider community.

    In the week commencing March 17th, we proudly launched our History of Ellacombe project. Throughout this exciting week, children from Years 1 to 6 participated in inspiring art workshops led by professional artist Monica Shanta.

    In late April, we entered the mosaic-making phase of our History of Ellacombe project. To bring our designs to life, we welcomed parents into the school with their children, inviting them to contribute by adding their own pieces to the mosaic, fostering a true sense of community and collaboration.

    The 3 mosaics have now been taken to be finished off in order to make them permanent and lasting pieces of artwork. The process really has been a collective demonstration of Ellacombe pride.

    We cannot wait for the three mosaics to be unveiled.
