School Lunches

All our school meals are prepared ‘in house‛ by our own Catering Team using fresh ingredients. We try and source local ingredients wherever possible, even using produce from our own school gardens as they are available.

Producing our own meals is an important part of our school, linked to our curriculum through our outdoor learning, healthy schools programme and cooking opportunities. Our kitchens come under strict regulations and we ensure we adhere to the Nutritional Standards, as advised by the School Food Trust. 70% of our meals are made from scratch and we are working toward becoming a Food for Life School. This entails using quality produce including Red Tractor meats, free range eggs and local produce.

Every day there is a meat as well as a vegetarian option, with other choices including pasta, baked potatoes with various toppings, salad or school packed lunch. All meals include a dessert.

The charge for a pupil meal is £2.75 per day. This can be paid weekly, monthly, half termly or termly in advance.  To order your child a lunch please visit the ‘My Child At School‘ App  www.mychildatschool.com. If a pupil is absent and misses their meals then any credits will be carried forward.

Our enthusiastic Catering Team also prepare the meals for two other schools in the local area as well as catering for staff, visitors, special events in school and parent lunches.
